The Inventory Control module is significantly improved and fully integrated with a brand new comprehensive Purchasing system that has been added. Each part is tracked from beginning to end in GlasPacLX; from its purchase as a GlasPacLX generated PO, to its receipt into GlasPacLX IC, and ultimately to its exit from the system as a sale or vendor return. Feature highlights include:
- A new 'Source Parts' window puts all the key information (e.g., price, alternate location availability, interchangeable parts, color substitutions, vendor pricing, etc. ) on one window to allow the CSR to make a decision where to get parts for the job. In addition, this window automatically creates all the needed transactions to obtain products based on CSR decisions. One click might generate multiple transactions be it reserving an on-hand product, creating POs to vendors, or initiating transfers from other locations.
- Tracking work in progress and part availability is significantly more efficient using sourcing status on the WO Finder and Scheduler windows, so CSRs can see which orders are "un-sourced," "sourced," or "In-Transit".
- The PO system allows you to add multiple workorder purchases to one "running" purchase order that can be placed to the same non-online vendor at any time.
- The system will automatically create one purchase order for each On-line Quick Order for those vendors who are GLAXIS enabled.
- Integrated in the on-line help files for IC and Purchasing Module is a twenty-seven page .pdf document detailing the enhancements.
